INTRODUCTION
The world is facing the challenges of global warming and climate changes due to the emissions of CO2, greenhouse gases and other environmental pollutants because India has continued to increase the investment in the infrastructure construction, the demand for cement has risen sharply.
To overcome this problem, Geopolymer is an alternative binder to Portland cement were used.
The geopolymer concrete offers a great opportunity for the reuse of industrial by-products and wastes such as fly ash and GGBS to fully replace cement with natural fiber. Natural fiber – Banana fiber is one of the bast fiber which is the strongest natural fiber has wide range of use in concrete for more flexural strength and energy absorption compared with conventional concrete.
On the other hand, mining activities not only occupy lots of land resources but also bring many serious environmental and social problems, and there is a lot of waste such as Iron slag requires disposal.
The cost of natural sand is increased due to a shortage of natural sand in some areas and this causes a series of environmental problems because of irrational overexploitation of sand. So Iron slag is used to solve the shortage of natural sand.
